Grayhound have won ESEA MDL Season 28 Australia after defeating ORDER 2-1 in the grand final.

The 28th season of ESEA MDL Season Australia featured 17 teams in the group stage at the end of which the top eight teams advanced to the single-elimination playoffs.

ORDER, who finished the group stage without a defeat, got past Corvidae and Tainted Minds in the playoffs to become one of the grand finalists. Grayhound joined them after beating Rise and Grind and Chiefs.

The best-of-three final started with a 16-6 ORDER victory on Dust2 but Grayhound turned things around on Inferno and Mirage, winning both in overtime.

With this result, Sean "⁠Gratisfaction⁠" Kaiwai's team finished the season as the champions, earning $3,600. ORDER, who were undefeated this season until the grand final, have earned $2,400 by placing second.
