fnatic are the first grand finalists of ELEAGUE Season 1 following a two-map affair with Natus Vincere (2-0; Cobblestone 16-4, Train 16-14).

fnatic chose Cobblestone as the first map of ELEAGUE's first semi-final featuring the Swedes and Natus Vincere, and for good reasons. Being on the less favored side, fnatic sustained a pistol round loss but they started blowing their opponents out of the water time and time again, including unfavorable situations such as a 2v3 retake on B.

Everyone from the world's number two team as per our Team Ranking chimed in on their way to a 10-3 lead, at which point Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer stepped out from the crowd and won a 1v3 clutch.

Natus Vincere took the pistol round to their name again, but Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell's two entries at dropzone forced Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin to save a weapon. The starix-led team stared down the barrel when Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist gave his team another 1v3 clutch as fnatic grabbed a 16-4 victory on map one.

Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman once again showed why he's called world's best pistoleer, picking up a triple in the pistol round to put his team up 3-0 as Terrorists on Train. Two rounds in a row went the other way before fnatic made it 6-2 with patient late-round decisions.

Na`Vi's economy was broken after a reset scenario kicked in, as dennis put in an all-important double to tip the scales in the Swedes' favor. At 9-3 the Ukraine-based squad picked up two AWPs and an auto-sniper, at which point they picked up all of the remaining rounds in the half.

fnatic put in another pistol round triumph to distance themselves further, while olofmeister's double pushed the scoreline to 12-6. Na`Vi decided to go for a low buy afterwards and Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács found three headshots with the Deagle to put fnatic in a forcebuy scenario in turn. 

At 12-9 dennis went on to continue with his great performance, finding a big triple for two rounds in a row. The story wasn't over just yet however, Natus Vincere fought back and forced their opposition on an eco twice, evening map two at 14-14. The comeback was denied in the end though, as fnatic marched on to the final at 16-14.
